You've found us... Welcome to Enjoy the Ride! I'm excited to announce that we are up and running and ready for your repairs, and our name is getting out there. Stay tuned for our grand opening later this year, but read up on our first few months here...
Alrighty guys—you found me! As many of you already know, this is Delaney… yes, the same guy who’s been selling you bikes and keeping them rolling for the past few years. After corporate closed my store and left me out in the wilderness, I decided it was time to do my own thing and launch a mobile bike repair business. Out of the ashes of my former corporate career, Enjoy The Ride Bicycles was born. 🚴♂️🔥
When I transitioned from a corporate role with Trek Bicycles to sudden uncertainty, I realized something pretty quickly: the other great shops in town already had solid teams in place. That left me with a choice—accept defeat and settle for whatever job a fifty-year-old guy can land in this economy… or take the reins and build something of my own. Well, here we are.
This isn’t just about a paycheck (though I’ll admit, I do miss the consistency of a corporate one). I’m doing this because there’s a real need for a service like this, and there’s absolutely room for another bike shop to put down roots in this town. Our local bike shops do an amazing job serving the cycling community, but what sets me apart is convenience—free pickup and delivery.
That idea came straight from experience. Back at Trek, I saw it all the time: frustrated customers wrestling 100-lb e-bikes into the back of Honda Civics, already exhausted before they even walked through the door. One moment that really stuck with me was helping a customer who had an adult trike completely wedged into his SUV—he was wiped out by the time he reached the counter. I ended up delivering that trike when it was finished, and that’s when the light bulb went on.
Fast forward to today, and here I am—specializing in transporting heavier bikes and e-bikes, offering fast turnaround times, building a brand, and still doing what I love. And speaking of building the brand… I’ve got some exciting things on the horizon. As many of you know, the goal is to open a physical location as soon as possible. I’m focusing my search south of town—possibly Downtown Sanger, East Clovis, or along the Airport Corridor. I even ride bikes with my realtor, so I know I’ll be in good hands when the time comes.
That south-of-town focus is intentional. With Sunnyside gone, there are a lot of South Valley riders looking for a shop to call home again. Most bike shops in town are clustered near Woodward Park, which is great for North Fresno riders—but it leaves a real gap between North Fresno and Visalia. I want ETR Bicycles to be home base for my South Valley tribe, so my search is (as many Fresnans would say) firmly “south of Shaw.”
There’s still a lot to do, but I’ve truly hit the ground running since Trek closed our doors back in September. This has become my main focus (aside from my family, of course), and it’s been growing steadily. I feel encouraged, confident I made the right decision, and proud of the work I’m doing.
A huge thank-you to everyone who’s trusted me with their bikes over the years—I’m glad you’ve found me here. Stay tuned, because a top-notch bike shop is coming to the Valley very soon.
